As soon as we receive your enrollment request and your class fee, we will review your vaccination records and confirm your starting date.Health Requirements for Enrollment We are very proud to say that the health requirements for enrollment in a DIXIE'S class are some of the strictest around. For the protection of your puppy and all other puppies in our classes THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS to our vaccination and health care requirements. If we do not receive proof of vaccinations you will be allowed to come to class but your puppy WILL NOT be allowed. Your dog must have a current (within the last 3 weeks for puppies under 16 weeks of age) vaccination for canine Distemper and Parvovirus.
While your puppy is enrolled in class he must maintain a vaccination schedule of every 3 weeks until 16 weeks of age, with the last Distemper being given at or after 12 weeks of age and the last Parvovirus being given at or after 16 weeks of age.* Proof of these booster vaccinations will be required during the course of your enrollment.Your puppy must have had at least 2 vaccinations for canine distemper and Parvovirus, with the last Distemper after 12 weeks of age and the last Parvovirus after 16 weeks of age. While in class, your puppy must maintain a vaccination schedule of every 3 weeks. Dogs over 1 year of age must maintain a yearly booster schedule.
Proof of vaccinations and fecal check must accompany your enrollment form.*The most recent information provided by the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) indicates that some dogs may not be able to hold an immunity against Parvovirus unless vaccinated after 20 weeks of age. Therefore, although it is not required, it is recommended, that your puppy receive a booster vaccination for Parvovirus after 20 weeks of age. Another option - provide proof of titers to show that your dog is protected from distemper, parvo, and rabies.
